post-flood blues

i haven't abandoned my post here at chronic holiday, i just don't have an office i can breath in. we had a flood in our house and most of it was gutted. i chose wool carpets instead of reinstalling new nylon carpets in an attempt to make this renovation as non-toxic as possible. as it turns out, the carpet has been treated with moth repellent and is very strong smelling. not all 100% wool carpet is non-toxic. who knew! anyway, i get sick feeling, headachey and foggy headed when i am in the office and this is why i haven't been online posting. i'm trying to remedy the situation but it is taking time. i'll be back as soon as possible! and if anyone wants to do a guest post, that would rock.

keep the chronic flame burning while i'm gone!

I've missed you so! That sucks so bad about those bloody carpets... ugh. Wish I could come replace them for you myself, lol. How terrible!
Guest blog post? I can barely write my own blathering, so not sure I could be of help there...
Then again, this blog is about taking to task those who would tell us what to do, etc.? I could share my stressful, but not entirely useless (just mostly) to the anesthesiologist at the pain clinic and his views of what to do about my CRPS/why it's getting/gotten worse...
Uh, I think that's my own long post. Or 2.

Get healthy as you can, plenty of fresh, if not rather chilly, air.

Hugs,
L

hey, lisa, thanks for dropping by. we need a magic wand to take care of burdensome things, don't we? the painters were here yesterday to repair the "deficiencies," as they call them. they painted entire walls and i didn't expect that much new paint. so, this is another layer of toxins in here. at least it's above zero and i can air the house out now and then. but SHEESH i am sooooo over this.

frida: i have lots of images waiting in the wings. weird food and weird ads and weird products will find their way back here, for sure.

I can't believe the flood odyssey is going on for so long. You poor dear. That sounds trite, but I really feel for you. That carpet needs to come out, I think. Thanks for posting about it on both of your blogs: I want to get natural carpet and will really do my research now. Greenwashing is the new evil. It makes me sick (literally, I guess) when I see how many "green" labelled but harmful products there are out there. It is shameful.

Anyways, I miss both of your blogs. I do hope that this is resolved very soon.

I've run across it a couple of times, Donimo--and can't remember how, probably links other people gave.

Hi there. Sorry it's still such a problem. Still missing you. Oh, and I could guest again but maybe someone else wants to?

Thanks for sticking with me! The carpet is getting steam cleaned tomorrow in hopes that this might do the trick and to satisfy the insurance co that we have done everything to try and remedy this. Will is end up getting pulled up? Who knows. I am soooooooo sick of this endless chaos. If someone can benefit from this, Michelle, then that helps a bit.
